Getting started

What is Easy Twin?

Easy Twin is an iPhone app for parents that scans a child's school worksheet and uses AI to create a "twin" worksheet that practices the same skills with new numbers, names, and wording, ready to print or solve interactively. It's built for kindergarten through 8th grade.

What is a twin worksheet?

A twin worksheet is a new version of your child's worksheet with one new question for every original, practicing the same skill at the same difficulty with different numbers, names, and wording. Question 1 of the twin mirrors question 1 of the original, and so on, in order.

What devices does Easy Twin work on?

Easy Twin works on iPhone and iPad running iOS 26 or later. There is no Android, web, or Mac version at the moment.

How do I get started?

Download Easy Twin from the App Store, open it, and tap the scan button to photograph a worksheet. New users get 3 free scans, so you can try it on a real page before paying anything. There's no sign-up form: the app creates a private, anonymous account for you.

Is Easy Twin for kids or for parents?

Easy Twin is made for parents, guardians, homeschoolers, and tutors: grown-ups scan the worksheets, choose what to print, and see the insights. The interactive practice quiz is designed to be handed to a child, but the app itself is set up and managed by an adult.

Worksheets & scanning

What kinds of pages can I scan?

You can scan printed worksheets, homework pages, workbook pages, quizzes, and tests with printed questions. Handwriting, answers, and teacher marks on the page are ignored, so graded work is fine. Pages that are mostly coloring, tracing, or a single large diagram make weaker twins.

Can I scan a multi-page packet?

Yes. Keep scanning to add more pages to the same worksheet, and each page is mirrored in order. Each page uses one scan, so you decide how many pages of a packet to twin.

Can I use a photo I already took?

Yes. Instead of the camera, choose a photo from your library. The photo picker only shares the images you select with the app.

Does it matter if the worksheet is already filled in?

No. Easy Twin reads only the printed questions and ignores your child's handwritten answers, teacher corrections, scores, and decorations.

What happens if my photo is blurry?

If Easy Twin can't read a page confidently, it returns no questions, refunds the scan automatically, and tells you what would help, such as better light or getting the whole page in frame. If only some questions are unreadable, it skips just those and adds a note saying which ones.

How long does it take to make a twin?

A twin is usually ready in about 5 seconds for a single page; multi-page packets take a little longer. The app shows each step as it works: reading the page, understanding the questions, writing new practice problems, and building your worksheet.

Is every twin question correct?

Most are, but twins are AI-written, so look over each one before handing it to your child. If a question or answer looks wrong, you can still print the sheet and grade it yourself, and we'd appreciate an email with the question text so we can improve.

Subjects & grades

Which subjects does Easy Twin support?

Easy Twin supports math, grammar, reading, writing, spelling, science, and social studies worksheets. It's strongest on questions with a clear answer, like arithmetic, fractions, word problems, grammar, and vocabulary. See the subjects guide for details.

Which grades does Easy Twin cover?

Easy Twin is built for kindergarten through 8th grade. It works out the approximate grade level of each worksheet on its own, so you never have to pick one. See the grade-by-grade guides.

Does it work with worksheets in other languages?

Yes. The twin is written in the same language as the original worksheet. The app's own menus and buttons are in English.

Can it handle graphs, tables, and clocks?

Yes. When a question depends on a table, bar graph, number line, or clock, the twin gets its own version with new data, drawn on screen and in the PDF. Other pictures become a one-sentence word description, and a picture is never allowed to give the answer away.

Does it work for high school or algebra?

Easy Twin is designed for kindergarten through 8th grade, and it handles algebra worksheets well, including the Algebra 1 work many 8th graders take. Beyond that, later high school courses aren't what it's built or tested for.

Printing

Do I need a special printer?

No. Any AirPrint-compatible printer on the same Wi-Fi network works. Without a printer, tap Share to save the PDF and print it from a computer.

Does the printed worksheet include an answer key?

Yes, if you want it. The answer key is optional and prints at the end, for grown-ups. You can turn it on or off for each print and set the default in Settings.

What paper size does it print?

Worksheets print on US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) with 0.75-inch margins, a name and date line, numbered questions, room to show work, and page numbers.

Can I put my child's name on the worksheet?

Yes. Type a student name before printing and it appears in the header. You can also save your child's first name in Settings, which Easy Twin may also use for a character in word problems.

Interactive practice

Does practicing use credits?

No. Credits are only used when you scan a page to create a twin. Your child can play any twin as a quiz as many times as you like.

How many tries does my child get?

Your child gets three tries per question and two hints. After three misses the question is set aside, and its answer waits for the summary screen at the end. Answers are never shown mid-quiz.

Will it mark a right answer wrong because of formatting?

It tries hard not to. Grading ignores capitals, extra spaces, and trailing punctuation, accepts equivalent numbers like 1/2 and 0.5 or mixed numbers like 1 1/2, handles money and percentages, and ignores units such as "12 cm". For multiple choice, the letter or the text both count.

How are "explain your thinking" questions checked?

Written-response questions are self-checked: your child compares their answer with a model answer and the key points a good answer should include. Easy Twin prefers auto-graded formats whenever a question has one definite answer.

Can my child stop and finish later?

Yes. Progress saves automatically, and the worksheet offers "Pick up where you left off" or "Start over". Time with the app closed doesn't count toward practice minutes.

Can my child practice on an iPad while I scan on my iPhone?

Yes. Sign in with Apple on both devices under Settings → Account & backup, and the same worksheets, progress, and credits appear on each.

Pricing & credits

Is Easy Twin free?

Easy Twin is free to download and includes 3 free scans (1 scan = 1 page). After that, choose Easy Twin Pro at $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year (with a 7-day free trial) for up to 50 scans a month, or buy credit packs from $3.99 for 10 scans. Prices are in US dollars and vary by region.

What is a scan or credit?

One scan (one credit) turns one page into a twin. A three-page packet uses three. The scan is charged when generation starts and refunded automatically if generation fails or the page can't be read.

Do credits expire?

No. Credits from credit packs never expire. Pro's monthly allowance is different: it's up to 50 scans per month and resets on your subscription day, so unused allowance doesn't carry over.

Can I have Pro and credits at the same time?

Yes. Pro's monthly allowance is used first, then any credits you've bought or earned. If you cancel Pro, the credits you already have stay in your balance.

Does Family Sharing work with Easy Twin Pro?

Yes. Easy Twin Pro can be shared with your Apple Family Sharing group, so family members get Pro on their own devices. Credit packs are one-time purchases and aren't shareable.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account you used to buy. Failed or unreadable scans are refunded to your balance automatically.

How do I cancel Easy Twin Pro?

Cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Easy Twin Pro → Cancel Subscription, at least 24 hours before it renews. You can also manage subscriptions on Apple's site. Credits you already received stay in your balance.

Is there a free trial of Pro?

Yes. Easy Twin Pro Annual starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, and you can cancel before it ends in your Apple Account settings without being charged. Every new user also gets 3 free scans, no subscription needed.

Can I earn free scans?

Yes. Invite a friend from Settings → Invite friends: they get 5 free scans when they redeem your code, and you get 10 for each friend who joins. Linking your account with Sign in with Apple also adds 3 bonus scans, once.

Privacy & safety

What happens to photos of my child's worksheets?

Worksheet photos are used only to read the page and create the twin. They're sent securely to an AI service to be read, stay on your phone, and are never stored on Easy Twin's servers or included in backups, unless you choose to attach them to a problem report after a failed scan (deleted once we've reviewed it). Read the privacy policy for the full details.

Do I have to create an account or give my email?

No. Easy Twin creates an anonymous account automatically, with no name, email, or password, so your worksheets and progress can be backed up. Sign in with Apple is optional and only needed to sync across devices.

Does Easy Twin show ads or sell data?

No. There are no ads, no advertising identifier, no data selling, and no tracking across other apps or websites.

Is Easy Twin safe for my child to use?

The practice quiz is safe to hand to a child: there are no ads, chats, links out, or purchases inside the quiz. The app is designed to be managed by a parent and isn't directed at children under 13, and it doesn't ask children for personal information.

How do I delete my data?

Swipe left on a worksheet to delete it and its scans. To delete everything, go to Settings → Account & backup → Delete account, which removes your data from the device and from Easy Twin's servers.

Troubleshooting

I bought credits but my balance didn't change. What do I do?

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases, making sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. If the balance still doesn't update, email support with the order confirmation from Apple.

Some twin questions don't match the original. Why?

Usually the photo made part of the page hard to read. Scan one page at a time, keep the whole page flat and in frame, and use even light. Dense pages with tiny print are the most common cause.

I got a new phone. How do I get my worksheets back?

Install Easy Twin and, if you linked your account, sign in with the same Apple Account under Settings → Account & backup. Worksheets, progress, and credits restore from your backup. Purchases can also be restored with Restore purchases.

The app said it couldn't find any questions. Did I lose a scan?

No. When a page can't be read, the scan is refunded automatically. Retake the photo with the page flat, in even light, and fully in frame.
